Q08.Is there any rules or regulation restricting me for apperaing for the university Examination ?
Ans:Yes, you will be permitted to appear for semester I or semester II examination only if you keep term for that semester at a college affliated to the University and produce testimonials from the Principal of the college for :-
- 75% attendance in each head of theory / practical as prescribed by the University.
- Satisfactory completion of Term Work.
- Good chararcter and conduct.
Q09. How the term work Assessment is done?
Ans: At FE, SE & TE level the Term work is assessed by a panel of internal Examiners from the college. The assessment will be continous on the basis of depth of understanding of the principles involved and not on the basis of mere correctness of the results or colourful presentation.
Q10. What about the maintenance of good descipline and enforcement of good conduct by students ?
Ans: Every student, during term of course , shall be under disciplinary jurisdiction of the competent authority which is empowered to take appropriate action, in case of indiscipline or misconduct on the part of students.(Under section 87 and section 39(III) of Pune University act 1974)
Q11.Is raggiing prohibited in Educational Institutes ?
Ans:Obiviously yes. Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited within or outside any Educational Institiution. Whoever directly or indirectly commits, participates in ,abets or propagates ragging within or outside any Educational Institution are liable to be punished as per the proivision of the Maharastra Prohibtion of Ragging Act, 1999. (LC Bill No IX of 1999).
This includes imprisonment which may extend upto two years and a fine upto Rs.10,000/- Dismissal or suspension from the college etc. depending on the level of offence.
